Organizing the relationship between records and files can be more useful than keeping an unstructured folder of PDFs. If you already work with BibTeX or LaTeX, try the tool around your existing files. Evaluate collaboration against your actual writing process rather than a feature count.
A lookup result still needs review
Metadata completion and full-text search are assistance, not guarantees of accuracy or access to every paper. Check authors, dates and editions before accepting results.
